Budget Airlines for Europe

In 1978, the deregulation of U.S. airlines began which lead to lower airfare and created the budget carriers. In the ’90s the revolution moved to Europe and has caused airfare to be at an all-time low. these airlines are great if you’re in Europe that provide low-cost fares . With some, you can even grab a cheap seat to Europe from the U.S.

Norwegian Air

is based out of Norway and was founded in 1993. It flies out of many different countries such as Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Thailand, the Caribbean, and the U.S. and uses Boeing 787 Dreamliners. For international flights and is the third-lowest cost carrier in Europe.

Wow Air- is based out of Iceland and was founded in 2011. It flies out of Europe and North America and serves 30 destinations. They use two types of planes which are a narrowbody Airbus A321s and a widebody A330s.

Easyjet- is based out of the London Luton Airport and founded in 1995. It is an alternative to other European carriers and operates over 800 routes across 31 countries. Easy jet serves more than 75 million passengers a year and 60% outsides of the United Kingdom

Ryanair-Is based out of Ireland and was founded in 1985 with only one jet and now operates an all-Boeing 737 fleet and serving more than 100 million passengers a year. It’s one of the cheapest airlines, but charges for everything from choosing your seat to carry on bags.

Wizz Air- is based out of Hungary and was established in 2003. Wizz Air currently offers flights on more than 500 routes and uses Airbus A320 and A321 jets which fly to smaller airports. In 2016 it won Value Airline of the Year.

Pegasus Airlines- is based out of Turkey and established in 1990 as a charter carrier. It has a fleet of Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s that fly domestic flights.
